Our history dates back to 1883 when Gustav Hell, the influential pharmacist of his time, founded the company “GUSTAV HELL & Company”. Thanks to this fact we are one of the oldest pharmaceutical firms in Middle Europe with a drug production tradition dating back more than 120 years.

The most important milestones:

r.1883 – Gustav Hell founded the company called GUSTAV HELL & Company
r.1939 – New business name – HELLCO
r.1948 – Beginning of experiments with rye artificially infected with ergot
r.1952 – New business name – GALENA
r.1994 – IVAX Corporation became the majority shareholder of the company
r.2001 – New business name - IVAX-CR
r.2002 – IVAX Corporation acquires 100% of the company shares
r.2003 – New business name and legal form – IVAX Pharmaceuticals s.r.o.
r.2006 – Integration of IVAX Corporation into Teva
r.2009 - New business name - Teva Czech Industries s.r.o.
